Who You Are The role of Estimator reports to the Estimating Manager. Day to day, you will be responsible for producing estimates in a timely and accurate fashion. We expect you to be able to participate in to the purchasing, planning, and scheduling areas on an as needed basis. Training in these areas will be provided. What You'll Do In addition to the day to day responsibilities of outputting estimates, our estimators are responsible for establishing and maintaining a user-friendly environment that encourages sales to bring all opportunities to the company. It is a teaching position that will help representatives understand missing details without making estimates difficult and without compromising service levels to our clients. Additionally, estimators are responsible for monitoring activity and identifying trends and opportunities. All quote letters generated by the estimating team must be accurate and descriptive of the work to be produced by Bennett Graphics. Our estimating team also participates in the job planning process. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing jobs for accuracy, generating layouts, and verifying the estimate plan for the job to run through the building. Planning is also responsible for ensuring appropriate physical inventory levels are established and maintained throughout the year. What You Bring Looking for someone with 2-3 years estimating experience minimum in a commercial print environment. This role requires you to be able to read and interpret cost sheets on an as needed basis, and make appropriate recommendations for alterations to production methods and/or estimating standards as is necessary. It is expected that you will participate in the ongoing process of discovery that examines, questions, and challenges processes that deserve attention. As needed, we will ask that you take part in, and occasionally lead, special projects for the company. This may require writing or correcting existing process documentation and ensuring it is distributed to the correct teams or employees.
