JOB SUMMARY

You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing interior spaces for our restaurants that are both functional and aesthetically appealing, ensuring a superior guest experience while aligning with our brand identity. Will have the opportunity to work on prestigious, well known hospitality projects.

The Interior Designer in this position will have proven experience in Interior Design or similar roles with proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup or similar with strong knowledge of interior design principles and practices. The incumbent will have excellent communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously meeting firm deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize, maintain, and update Material Library.
  • Develop digital representations of the designs by using AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint and SketchUp.
  • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
  • Request and return samples for projects.
  • Create finish boards for different projects.
  • Provide support with FF&E purchasing process.
  • Research finishes, materials, and methods.
  • Visit showrooms to source FF&E. Oversee FF&E delivery and installation.
  • Installation of seasonal decorations at our restaurants, offices, and other facilities.
  • Develop design proposals.
  • Develop and production of design documents for hospitality & healthcare projects.
  • Assist with contract administration tasks such as shop drawing review, submittal review, and supplementary drawing development (AutoCAD drafting).
  • Assist project teams with task completion related to assigned projects and participate in meetings and project updates.
  • Develop or enhance AutoCAD skills by assisting Hospitality group in drafting, production, preparation, and delivery of projects documents for clients.
  • Participate in project milestones, interfacing with vendors, Interactive design, consultant coordination and site visits.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • 3-5+ years interior design experience
  • Proficient at AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite software, SketchUp, PowerPoint & Word & Excel.
  • Excellent Driving Record
  • Knowledge of architectural, millwork and furniture detailing.
  • Knowledge of interior materials, strong sense of color, space planning, and design aesthetics.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Must have experience in on-site measurements with 100% accuracy and on-site meeting experience. (The ability to read blueprints and floor plans)
  • Must have project management experience.
  • Assist in material selections, fabric selections and accessories.
  • Must have exceptional follow-thru skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Oversee all disciplines involved in the design project from concept till completion.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite: (Spreadsheets for budgets item numbers, pricing, timelines)
  • Must have CAD experience (elevations for lighting, tile packages and other Interior design related packages)
  • Sketch-up and Home Designer experience
